This hotel is located directly opposite the Zicatela beach on the main avenue. I really enjoyed staying here because it was a cute hotel, with very comfortable facilities. The rooms are quite spacious and offer a nice view of the pool (or the street). They have a restaurant with good food and happy hour (from 6-8 pm) which I highly recommend.
This beautiful hotel is located in the very centre of the city of Oaxaca, in a colonial building dating back to the sixteenth century - what was once the Convent of Santa Catarina. For two centuries it was occupied by the nuns, but in 1962, the reform laws led to it becoming government offices. It was built in the Spanish colonial style, and there are still a number of paintings from that era hanging on the walls of the restaurant or in different parts of the hotel, where they can be admired by guests. The rooms are beautifully decorated in the colonial style, and there's a spacious restaurant that provides excellent service. The kitchen remains as it was in the convent years, and there are beautiful gardens full of local trees and plants, as well as a large pool. There are regular exhibitions by international artists. You're sure to come away with a story to tell and great memories of your time in this World Heritage city.

I recommend you to stay in Oaxaca Casa de Don Pablo hostel, with its excellent quality-price ratio. In fact, the rooms are very good, with a friendly staff, and the hostel is fairly close to the city center. For about €8 a night, including breakfast, you'll have a pleasant stay in the Casa de Don Pablo. After you have done some research on the Internet, I think this hostel is the cheapest option.

An American couple left the USA to open this small hostel on the beach in Zipolite. It's small, and at first glance, doesn't inspire too much confidence, but everything changes when you meet the owners. The view from the balcony is incredible. Recommended.
40 minutes from Huatulco, in a town called "Pluma Hidalgo" between the hills and Oaxacan, I found a coffee estate called "Villa Don Gabriel". I spent one night with my family there, completely disconnected from urban life, the sounds of cars and technology! The coffee experience. We were greeted by a friendly host offering us freshly baked bread and a cup of coffee. We did a tour and the process from the plant to the cup was explained to us. The tour ended with a visit to the museum, where you can find coffee grinders hundreds of years old to freshly harvested coffee beans. Flavors of Mexico. In the evening the restaurant offered all sorts of traditional Oaxacan dishes that my family and I enjoyed, like tlayudas, memelas, quesadillas with fresh tortillas, smoked meat, sausage and cheese, accompanied by fresh water. We stayed in a cabin suite, equipped with a bathroom with hot water, king size bed, room to store my stuff and totally rustic decor. Addition of an extra eh not found anywhere else: a terrace with mountain views. Literally woke with the landscapes of Pluma Hidalgo peering through my window. Other attractions. When we were not eating or resting we were in the pool area, incredible and perfect for an afternoon. This area has hammocks and lounge chairs for reading or a nap, and an area to enjoy snacks while you relax. And best, above has a TIROLESA to have fun and feel the rush as you fly through the clouds. Always something to do. A unique experience. So if you are going to be for Huatulco or Oaxaca City, a visit to "Finca Don Gabriel" is a must, whether you want to relax, meditate, get away from it a weekend or spending time with family, the experience that this place offers its guests is something that is worth living.
