My husband and I, along with our 10 month old, decided to go super early to see the sun rise and to beat the tourists. It was the beginning of June and still quite chilly in the morning, so bring a jacket. You should also walk to the span so you can get the best views as the bridge has an outpost with unobstructed views. A few hours we drove past the bridge, and it was slammed busy. I highly recommend going early in the morning to avoid all the tourists.
Finding pleasure in a city like New York is never difficult. Just seeing the best Broadway show or watching all the lights, the movement and speed of the city. Each trip is a new experience. The contrast between the the classic and industrial architecture is always quite impressive as well.
If New York has anything, it's bridges. I suppose that you don't have any choice if you live on an island! The Queensboro Bridge is exclusively for pedestrians so you don't need a car to cross and enjoy the great views.
This large bridge over the Ohio River connects Cincinnati to Covington, in the neighboring state of Kentucky. At the time it was the longest suspension bridge in the world, a marvel of engineering (in the year1856) and laid the foundation for the construction of famous bridges similar to it, like the Brooklyn or Golden Gate in San Francisco . One of the things that is most amazing is the number of cables used for its suspension. The bridge has a pedestrian crossing and from there one can have good views of the river. On the last trip we did not walk on it, but it is a very pleasant walk that allows visitors to assess both the river and the bridge.
All the girls have probably already seen this bridge in Central Park, where many romantic comedies are filmed! It is one of the most common views in Central Park, and often found on postcards. Walking along the banks of the pond at sunset lets you see some beautiful scenery. You can also visit the Natural History Museum located right next to the Bow Bridge.
