Lakes in Yosemite National Park
Ellery Lake
(1)
Immediately outside Tioga in Yosemite, in the Sierra Nevada, you start a descent woards Lee Vining, but you can still take a stop to visit the small lake that ice always remains in. A charming spot perpetual snows, it lies at over 3000 meters altitude. The sunsets on the lake are breathtaking: the sun gilds the granite of the surrounding summits, especially Lee Vining Peak, and seems to turn it gold. There is a camping area nearby where you can spend the night, so you will need warm clothes, as the night temperatures get very cold in the high mountains even in summer. This is a glorious end to your visit in Yosemite National Park.

Lake Eola
(3)
At, night this one of the most charming lakes I've ever seen! The breeze from the ocean and jets of water that make you feel at peace and they play music from 19h to 21h30 throughout the entire lake. Everything is very clean and filled with ducks and squirrels, all of them are adorable. I recommend it.
Lakes in Orlando
Lake Eola Park
(2)
You can find the Eol Lake Park, from 1888 when the land was donated to the city, in downtown Orlando. The highlight of the park is Lake Eola, a 10-hectare body of water with a perimeter of nearly 1.5 kilometres that has an iconic fountain in the centre, about 75 feet deep. The lake is bordered by a pedestrian and cyclist track. At night, the fountain is truly spectacular and the downtown skyscrapers give a magical touch to the park. On the perimeter of the park is the Walt Disney Amphitheater where, every April, there is a Shakespearean festival. Watch how the swans nest and swarm in the park.
Lakes in Seattle
Sea Lions in Seattle
(2)
The lakes, rivers and ponds of Washington provide unique places to experience the great outdoor waterways in Washington. Suppliers provide boats, paddles and ideas but the final destination is always a floating goal. Few places on the planet offer water protection and preservation with a wide variety of sea creatures as the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Puget Sound and San Juan Islands do. Just a short distance, kayakers can live with seals, sea lions and sometimes orcas.
Lakes in Mammoth Lakes
Twin Lakes
(2)
The smaller set of lakes formed by the Horseshoe, the Mary and these. Located closer to the city. One is on a different level from the other and the lowest is fed by a waterfall that comes from the top. The lower lake is surrounded by a camp site and people fish and go boating. Ideal for camping, personally prefer this site to Lake Mary.

The lake is used as a car park for aircraft throughout the year and in the winter when the lake freezes, when they change the floaters of the planes for wheels and use it like a landing ground. The people that take care of the planes on the lake also have tents that they decorate which gives it an original style.

Lakes in New York
Finger Lakes
The Finger Lakes are as the name suggests, eleven huge lakes compose a finger each, and together they become a hand. They are in the State of New York and each one is named after an Indian tribe. Two of them, Cayuga Lake and Seneca Lake, are among the deepest lakes in the United States. In summer it is an excellent idea to spend the night at one of the campsites around them. The Cayuga is most in demand due to the beautiful river into which it flows. Below, between lush forests it empties into a lake with the same name. In summer, after a day full of aquatic pursuits, when returning to the tents, low temperatures mean that people make bonfires and cook ribs and marshmallows on the tip of a stick, great when placed between two cookies, add a square of chocolate and it melts in your mouth. Homer Simpson put his marshmallows in coffee and it was absorbed like a sponge.
Lakes in Reno
Lake Tahoe
(2)
Lake Tahoe is a freshwater lake, in a very big area, 495 square kilometeres, which is on the border between Nevada and California, in the western part of the US. Our experience corresponds to the part of the lake that is in Reno, because we know a few Italian friends who have lived in Reno for 50 years who had a home in this area. Despite having seen some photos prior to the trip, it was a place of incredible beauty. The surface of Lake Tahoe is big and belong to 2 states. The cities that belong to the State of Nevada are Carsson City (the capital) and are Reno and California: South Lake Tahow, Truckee and Tahoe City. Lake Tahoe is known for its clear water. Freshwater is lower in Sierra Nevada. Maximum length is 35km. Wide and 19 km long. Its maximum depth is 501 meters. Its coastline is about 114 km. And it is at a height of 1899 meters above sea level. Given the wide surface of Lake Tahoe, many boats with outboard and even catamarans ply it, and is also common to practice Water Skiing, that some of the young members of our group practiced almost every day, showing incredible skill and enthusiasm, appropriate to their age.
