Neonopolis is a museum that is sitauted in a part of Las Vegas known as the Fremont district. This museum is dedicated to neon signs and the majority who are on exhibition are those used in the 50s and 60s. There are about 5 kilometers (3 miles) of these signs throughout the building. Everyone has some historical point of view for Las Vegas and brought back many memories of the old days of "Sin City".
Located in the heart of Las Vegas on the Strip, the Coca Cola World is a store that you should really visit! You can find everything here with the famous Coke branding ... cups, glasses, t-shirts, accessories, decorative items ... and of course, there's a Coke bar upstairs! A great glimpse of Americana!
It was unexpectedly very cool. We entered this museum without much hope as we were trying to flee the classic tourist hotels in Las Vegas. The monitors said that it would take at least 3 hours to get through the whole museum but I didn't believe it until we started walking around. Each floor was really cool and there were lots of cool things to see! Everything was very well maintained and tidy and full of historical items, photos, videos, documents and many interactive machines. It's located in the former headquarters of the court in Las Vegas and admission costs $19. It's a bit far from the center but you can catch a bus to get there.
The Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort Historic Park is a state park where you will find the Old Mormon Fort, the first structure built by people of European blood in what would later become Las Vegas, 50 years later. It is located east of Las Vegas Boulevard and north of the city center and Fremont Street. A visitor center is available to offer help to tourists and explain the history of the fortress and the subsequent settlement that has transformed into the city you see today. The fort is included on the National Register of Historic Places.
Las Vegas Art Museum is located on the way to Red Rock Canyon. There's both a permanent collection and various temporary exhibits, mostly specializing in contemporary art. The most recent included models by the architect Frank Gehry and three-dimensional paintings by Kaz Oshiro.
