Caney is a wine and tapas bar located in the basement of the Hotel Araguaney in the new part of Santiago de Compostela. Don't worry though, it's only a ten minutes' walk from the old city. It has a very good menu offering Galician food and tapas from the rest of Spain. I recommend the tostas, cheese, ham, or their delicious cakes. It also sells Galician beer and a wide variety of red and white wines from the best Spanish wineries. It's more popular with locals than with tourists, making it a nice choice if you want to see the other side of the city. Just opposite is the Caney restaurant, one of my favorite places to eat in the new part of the city.
