A spectacular cave in Hpa An, in Kayin State, southeast of Myanmar. Crossing the great cave you reach a small lake that is divided into two zones. In the lake are local fishermen who sleep here as well, in hammocks hanging from the ceilings of the cave. It is a unique experience. A stunning blend of the beauty of the golden stupas and Buddhist images against the natural geology. The noise of the bats is like thunder in the darkest part of the cave. You must carry a flashlight and ask if there are any monks that can guide you to the lake, because you may get lost and not find it. This is without doubt one of the most unique and beautiful experiences to be had in this area.
