"Mama, I've arrived in Cudillero, look" (I sent a photo of the Casa Vieja del Sastre facade). "A fairy-tale son tale, a fairy-tale." Well, that tells you a little about this little hotels strength. Care taken up to the smallest detail, guarding a really curious history on its interior.
That of Casa Vieja del Sastre (Old House of the Tailor) is not just any old name, when you go do not forget to ask the owners to tell you the story in question. It goes back many years.
I get into the hotel’s club (rural) of three stars that deserves more. The room I got was amazing, like the whole hotel care was taken up until the last detail. As you walk along the halls you'll find charming details.
My favourites? The sewing machines, no doubt. Followed by my room, I cannot forget that it had a sort of patio-terrace with a beautiful chair and views typical of Asturias.
The hotel is surrounded by "Asturias in its purest state". It belongs to Soto de Luiña (Cudillero municipality). Very close by you have Cape Vidio, one of the most impressive cliffs in Spain. And of course, the town of Cudillero, to me of the most beautiful in the country. My trip was express, so I cannot tell you much more. I hope to return soon and enjoy occidental Asturias as it deserves.
Facing the Bay of Biscay, and in the centre of San Lorenzo beach, is the Prince of Asturias hotel, an emblem of the bay and pride of Asturianos. It has been transformed into a modern hotel, combining the open and cheerful atmosphere of the tourist area where it is situated, with the amenities, facilities and tranquillity of a tourist-focussed company.
I can begin my review in no other way than by praising this magnificent accommodation, where I chose to spend my last days of single life.
Located in the town of Quintueles belonging to Villaviciosa, but closer to Gijon. It is easy to get to, since it lies at the crossroads of the town leading to the famous Ñora beach.
It is a very well equipped hotel. When I stayed there it had only been open a month, smelled new in every corner, everything was perfect. Personally I loved it and this after outwardly it not seeming so luxurious and so beautiful.
My room was a junior suite, among things to highlight, no doubt, the dressing table or the Tassimo coffee maker, in the bathroom Chopard-brand products and a grand television, plus an ample lounge area ideal for a good room service dinner.
Included in the price of the spa, a very good tour, small but genial with essence showers, colour therapy, sauna, Turkish bath, infrared beds and pool, it breathes peace and quiet in every corner, and to finish an infusion awaits you or, why not, a hot chocolate.
The service was exquisite at all times, in the spa, restaurant, and reception. They treated me with affection and they got me through one of the most important days of my life the best way possible.
No doubt, I recommend it; it’s five stars at a good price and what’s more has a great restaurant where fish is their forte. If you're in the area stop to have a bite, it will not leave you indifferent.
Staying at the five star NH Palacio de Ferrera in Avilés, you almost feel like a noble of past centuries, crossing its stone arched corridors and courtyards. With a rather bold, very modern renovation it is undoubtedly the best hotel in Aviles. It is located in the Plaza of Spain, in the heart of Old Town, opposite the town hall and next to Ferrera Park. The hotel is the best choice as base to explore the architectural heritage of this monumental city from.
We came to take the Ruta del Cares (Cares river route - trekking trail running into the Picos de Europa National Park) on the recommendation of some friends and because of an offer there was on the hotel website. Very good hotel in the centre of Arenas de Cabrales, near the ruta del Cares.
Two star hotel (all in the area are one or two stars). Family hotel with very cordial and friendly service. Comfortable and very clean rooms. Spectacular views of the Picos de Europa.
Special recommendation for the rooms on the top floor. They have free Wi-Fi in the rooms and a free computer with internet access in the hotel lounge. The town of Arenas de Cabrales is very nice, quiet and with a special charm.
They offer a package to take the ruta del Cares, well organized and highly recommended, where they pick you up by jeep to regress along the mountains of the Picos de Europa. Get ready to walk and take lots of pictures. The scenery is spectacular. The return is by Land Rover through the Picos de Europa, where one can see many animals of the area. The tour guide we had on our return back by jeep was very good. Totally recommendable.
I actually got to Oviedo without knowing where I was staying. I didn't want to ask a taxi driver because sometimes they have business interests with hotels. So I did some research on my own, and found the Principality NH, in the city centre, on the street towards the Cathedral of Oviedo. It has an affordable price for a single room, always taking into account the quality of service, cleanliness, and the location.
A modern 120-room hotel, located in the heart of the city of Oviedo, and in the historic and commercial city centre. Its excellent location allows us to travel in comfort to the attractions in and around Oviedo. A warm welcome, a room with a view from which we can recreate the Vetusta of the author Clarín of Oviedo in the 21st century. From the Grand Hotel Regente you have cuisine, cider, culture, theater, opera, monuments, history, night fun, health and beauty etc on your doorstep.. Enjoy the many faces of Oviedo

This elegant 4 star hotel seems to rise above the waters of Biscay. This beachfront hotel also has fabulous views of the sand, the Bay of San Lorenzo, and the Historic District of Cimadevilla. The rooms can accommodate one or two people, and are very nicely and elegantly decorated. All rooms feature TV, minibar, iron, air conditioning and Internet. The hotel also has an outdoor pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, gym and sauna and a pleasant restaurant. A highly recommended place. The rooms don't go below 100 euros per night.
The Villarosario Hotel is a beautiful Indian palace that stands out because of its architectural beauty and its excellent views of Ribadesella Beach. The hotel is made up of 17 rooms with bathrooms, a TV, minibar, safe, etc. In short, it offers comfortable service you can enjoy throughout the year.
The La Colina, as the name (which translates as "The Hill") suggests, is situated on a hill next to Gijon, overlooking the Bay of Biscay. The views are breathtaking, you can see the sea from every room. The facilities are new and in very good condition. Do not miss the breakfast, which in my opinion is better than some 5 * hotels. And if you have chance to enjoy the walking path that runs alongside the hotel on top of the cliffs, do it! Oh, and the service at the hotel is excellent.
A beautiful hotel located 5 minutes from the center of Cangas de Onis. The rooms are huge and very nice, some even come with canopy, and they all have large windows to enjoy the views. It has a sun terrace where you can see all Cangas de Onis. A personalized and familiar place to stay.
The Hotel Sablon is in the fishing port of Llanes, near the old town with access to the beach. It was built on a small cliff at 150m from the town and the Basilica. In the vicinity there are a variety of shops, restaurants and bars. There's a golf course within 3km and the hotel provides internet in the public areas. There are 38 rooms in total.
Hernan Cortes Hotel is a magnificent and historic 4-star hotel located in the heart of the city of Gijón, which defines itself as "a classic in Gijón center". My main reasons for choosing this hotel were on the one hand, its great location in the center and, of course, for its great price, as we got 50% of discount on the room rate. This hotel has 3 room types: 1) Basic, which for me would be a standard or basic, the most simple, small and somewhat outdated room. 2) 5 star Luxe Rooms with plasma screen, very spacious bathroom with separate door for the toilet and bidet. 3) 5 star Suites which are really impressive and huge. In my case, I had requested the cheapest room, the Basic though we got upgraded to the luxe. I recommend paying a little more and getting a luxe room. We had room 612, which we would ask for again if we returned to this hotel. It had practically everything, 3 closets, a separate entrance hall, a vast bathroom with separate door to toilet and bidet, plasma TV, minibar and air conditioning.
