With an excellent beach side location on Los Lances, and an informal and very relaxed atmosphere, Arte Vida is the perfect place to fill your senses with the sea, great music and incredible sunsets from very comfortable loungers. If you love to windsurf or kitesurf, you can go from hotel towards the low 'point' where there is surfing.
Casa Blanco is a small boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Tarifa (Calle Nuestra Señora de la Luz, 2). It has 7 rooms and a lovely courtyard, in addition to a Nespresso machine for all customers. The rooms are spectacular, with incredible light and decorated in bright colours with attention to the smallest detail. I sat for a while on the chill-out terrace, the views are breathtaking! It is seconds away from the bars, restaurants and shops. I was struck by the tranquility and peace on the streets. The staff are always willing to help - José Luis recommended a terrific tapas bar. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Going up Guzman el Bueno street we came to a small square where the town's oldest fountain is. Right there is where you'll find the Hotel Ciudad de Tarifa. It's cozy and welcoming, and right in the heart of town. The restoration, which was lead and funded solely by the owner, has enriched the area, as can be seen in the photos. It's only the entrance that doesn't have electricity, which is another thing entirely.
In the old town of Tarifa, The Vestry works out of a beautiful house from the 18th century. The inn is tastefully decorated with some elements of that era and several oriental touches. The evocative courtyard, so typical of the south, is the ideal place to enjoy the cool air and nighttime smells.
We really recommend the apartments at I Love Tarifa as a starting point to explore the old town and enjoy the rich Andalusian culture and cuisine that you'll find there. Locals come here frequently to have a drink with their friends, or just to relax while listening to some good music. The apartments are located very near the beach so you won't need to take the car if you'd like to go sunbathing. From the terrace you can enjoy beautiful views of the town, and in summer evenings, you can relax under the starry sky of Tarifa. We're sure that we'll go back some day!
I've been coming here for many years. It's at its best in September, when the summer days haven't finished yet but the tourists of July and August have mostly gone home. A simple walk along the seashore is indescribable, and you can enjoy a beautiful sunset at the end of the day.
Hostal Africa is located in a remodeled, beautiful old house in the centre of Tarifa. This is a very simple hotel, but is very clean and airy. The owner is very friendly; when I arrived, he showed me around the house and its spectacular terrace overlooking the city, the sea and, in the distance, Morocco. I paid just 25 euro for one night in a single room with a bathroom and a small lunch, but the price varies depending on the time of year. To get there, enter the city through the Puerta de Jerez and take the second street on the right.
Yurts Tarifa is a real gem in the countryside. I spent just one weekend here, and it was a completely tranquil experience. Surrounded by mountains, five minutes from the beautiful Caleta coast and five minutes from the town of Tarifa. Recommended for a romantic getaway!
The Hotel Misiana is an historic hotel on Tarifa's main street, and it's in a great location. The hotel has undergone various remodelings in recent years, but this year it seems they've gotten it right. The hotel has a terrace and a restaurant that becomes a cocktail lounge in the evening.
We spent a few days in this hostel and the truth is that we love it ... it's a very clean, quality hotel. The prices are reasonable and the owners are very nice and friendly. It is locted close to downtown, the beaches and shopping centre too.
Tarifa Campsite is a great place to go with or without children. It's quite crowded with a lot of foreign tourists, but it's a paradise for water sports. Tarifa itself is a beautiful city with narrow streets, whitewashed walls, and of course the inexhaustible wind.
The former convent in Tarifa is now a hotel and restaurant that's one of the trendiest places in town. Inside the building has been renovated to create fabulous spaces for dinner and drinks afterwards.
100% Fun Hotel is about 1 meter from the best beach in city of Tarifa, Valdevaqueros. The hotel's rooms are spacious, fully equipped and different from each other offering a splendid service to guests. On this part of the coast you can enjoy all sorts of water activities and Tarifa is a perfect places for sailing, kite surfing and surfing for its strong winds. Guests can visit the dunes of Tarifa, Punta Paloma and all the Valdevaquero coast.
This is a special place to enjoy views of the sea, the freedom of the wind and a spectacular view of the neighboring continent, Africa. It is pure tranquility, with wonderful decor, delicious cakes and coffee. You have to see it to believe it. Enjoy the surroundings, it was so good that I moved to the area afterwards!

If you like quiet, this is your place 2 km from Tarifa, between two natural parks: the rooms are behind the bar, so they aren't too close to the road. Rooms are simple but very clean, the owner is very friendly, you can ask whatever you want and he always responds, recommends everything to do, eat, etc. I really liked the breakfast with bread, made with a watermill, the kind that no longer exist, with oil and tomato, and a hot coffee cost us 2.20. When I come back I'm staying here
